Mother's Day First Edition

This Sunday, May 9, is Mother's Day. I always knew that I wanted to be a mommy and have a family, but I didn't know how awesome it would be to say that I am a mom. This weekend has been a fantastic way to enjoy my first Mother's Day. On Saturday night, Ray had reservations to a restaurant. He had asked Stacia to watch Walker while the two of us went out on a date. The restaurant was amazing. We went to a place in downtown called, The Backstreet Cafe. The food was amazing! We arrived at 6:15 and had a spot waiting for us on the quaint, relaxing back patio.
We each had a yummy beverage and ordered the cold crab rolls as a starter. They had scrumptious fresh bread as well. Ray ordered the tenderloin special and I ordered the Chicken Milanesa. For dessert, we shared a lemon almond tart. I did not want to leave Walker, but I am glad that we spent some time apart because I was able to spend some quality time with RayRay! :)

Sunday morning we decided to go to the late church service. Walker woke up in a phenomenal mood, but tired quickly before we ever left!
We then had a great family lunch and got some of our Sunday errands taken care of. Walker was a happy baby out and about---he gave me a Mother's Day smile. We are still working on our social smile. (Ray wanted me to let all of the blog readers know that he caught this smile on his phone....so this photo is compliments of Ray's fantastic photography!)
When we got home for the afternoon, I got to open my Mother's Day Gift. Walker and Ray bought me an awesome basket with a fantastic card! The basket's purpose was to use the items to relax!! In the basket, there was Bath and Body Works shower gel, body spray and bubble bath, four CD's, a gift card to Target, and a gift certificate to get a mani and pedi. The card was a perfect card...it made me laugh out loud! I'm super excited to share the music with Walker as we drive around this week running errands...he LOVES music!

Since this was my first Mother's Day we attempted to grab some pictures of Walker and I together. We tried many different poses to try to get a happy baby....I finally gave in and just decided to make the same face that Walker was making! :)

In conclusion, my first Mother's Day was fantastic! I will leave you with a video of a book that I have been reading to Walker at his bedtime for the past week or so. It's a fantastic book, but even a better book for mommies on Mother's Day.  Before you watch the video, you will have to stop the music from the player on the blog page.  Enjoy!
Walker Reagan...I pray that I can be the mommy that you dream of! I hope that when I make mistakes along the way, you will forgive me. I know that there will be moments in life when you think that you know best, and I will be guiding you a different direction....you might get frustrated with me or even mad. I hope that you know that I will always love you unconditionally. Walker Reagan...I will love you forever, I'll love you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be! Thank you for making my first Mother's day a memorable one!
