Statistics...

This past Friday, July 9, Walker had his 4 month check up.  The doctor was impressed by his hand-eye coordination, his "talking" skills, and not to mention his fake cough that he has learned to do for attention.  :)  She thinks the cough is either to get attention, or his reflux is leading him this cough.  We are supposed to keep an eye on it and get back to her within two weeks.
Well, here are W stats from the doctor.  Let's say that this boy is growing well!
  • Weight: 17 pounds 5.5 ounces--92%
  • Height: 26 1/2 inches--95%
  • Head: 44.9 centimeters--98%
We have also started oatmeal cereal at dinner time in addition to his bottle.  We will slowly work up to baby food at all three meals with a bottle as well.  We did ask if it was okay if he ate all that food.  The doctor said, Oh yes!
Today was the first time that Walker stayed in the church nursery.  We went to the 8:30 service because it's between feedings for him.  Upon our arrival to church, Walker was still wide awake even with the car ride to church.  We signed him in and told the nursery worker that Walker would be ready for his nap.  She asked how he went to sleep.  I thought that was kind of funny, because he goes to sleep like you and I do, he lays down and goes to sleep.  :)  I shared with her that she should be able to lay him down and he will put himself to sleep.  I warned her that he might be fussy because of his new surroundings, but that he wouldn't fuss for long.  When we returned from the service, he was sound asleep.  The lady said that she didn't believe me when I told her that he would go to sleep on his own and that Ray and I had done a great job of scheduling him.  It has been hard work, but it has been fantastic to have a baby that naps and sleeps well and 95% of the time wakes up in a good mood!  We will see how next Sunday goes.
Tomorrow, Walker will be four months old, so be prepared for his 4 month picture and some snapshots of his first stab at cereal!  Below is a typical face that we get during tummy time.  We still don't like our tummy, but as you can see Walker is getting much stronger!
Walker Reagan--
Leaving you today at the nursery wasn't hard for me because the ladies were so nice and welcoming.  You did a great job as always!  I have to say young man that you are growing up a storm.  Aside from the fact that I can't keep many clothes for you in a specific size before you are too long for them, you are exposing your personality to your daddy and me more and more everyday!  You are a happy little baby.  You have figured out that your smile will light up a room and you are slowly discovering that you have a laugh that will do about the same thing!  You have figured out that your mommy has a soft spot for you and if you get your crocodile tears streaming that I will be at your beckon call! :)  As much as I would love for you to stay small forever, it's so exciting to watch you grow and mature.  I pray every night for you that you will continue down the path the our heavenly Father has created for you!!  I love you W!
~Mommy~
