It has been quite some time since my last post. I'm not t0o good at updating; hopefully I will get better soon. A lot has happened since the last post, mostly involving Walker. Our little man has had several growing days. This usually entails a little bit of fussing and lots of eating. He has almost outgrown all of his 6 month clothes!
Walker still dislikes tummy time, but is slowly growing more accustomed to it as he is gaining strength in his arms. Recently, he scooted/climbed OVER his boppy during tummy time. I managed to capture his escape on camera!
Walker definitely felt accomplished after this, however, I began to see the future of how this little boy will be crawling all around before I know it! Walker attended his first wedding on June 18. Our friends Ashley and Jake got married at Briscoe Manor. The ceremony and reception were awesome. Walker was a trooper! Walker got a kiss from the bride before she kissed her own groom!
Ray had to stay outside of the chapel with Walker because he was wanting to talk during the ceremony....as cute as it may be, Walker got to enjoy the patio area with his daddy. Walker stayed on track with his feedings and bedtime at the wedding for the most part. He even got to squeeze in a dance to the Cupid Shuffle with the bride!
At one point during the night, we did wake up because of the music, but he was chill in his car seat.
Walker also got to experience the swimming pool twice already! The first time at his Aunt Stacia's and the second time at his Gma's house. His first expereince he was a little overstimulated with all the happenings elsewhere in the pool. His second experience was more successful. He relaxed in his float and kicked his feet in the water. We made sure to keep his ears out of the water....we don't need any ear infections in the Dulock household!
The last new activity that Walker has tried is his jumperoo. It's a jumper that attaches to any door frame in the house and he can go to town. His first two experiences were more or less him swinging back and forth in it rather than jumping, but we are well on our way to jumping!
We go next week for Walker's 4 month check up and shots. I know that the new measurements are going to be much more than they were at his 2 month visit! He's a big boy who is long! Ray and I are still amazed at what new things Walker discovers each and every day. Hopefully the next post will come sooner this time. Hope all are enjoying the Texas summer!
Walker Reagan-
You are growing up a storm the past few weeks! There are some mornings I get you out of your bed and wonder what you are going to wear because you have grown overnight! You continue to teach me everyday. During your growth spurts, I am kindly reminded about patience. During the moments when you are playing, you remind me the importance of a smile and a happy heart. During the moments when you are sleeping, you remind me to take time for myself, for your Daddy and I, and for the friends that I am blessed with. Most of all, during those moments when you are all snuggled up with me on my shoulder, you remind me what the meaning of unconditional love is....we have this kind of love as a family and with our Heavenly Father. Thanks buddy for being an awesome lil' boy! I love ya' W!
~Mommy~
